Wellness to me is a holistic term, incorporating healthy habits & relationships, nutritious eating, mindfulness, movement, and an intellectual curiosity about how our bodies and minds interact with our environment. Wellness is being in tune with yourself and identifying which part of your World is out of balance. Wellness takes commitment: Once you discover what helps you to thrive, it will be up to you to make those ‘habits’ your ‘way of life’. You are worth it! Wellness is contagious: Your family and friends will want what you have!

About Me

Stacey Kennedy, RN, APRN, MSN, Certified Health Coach

Personal: I am a mom of four children and two dogs, I understand the demands of the working mom and the challenges of the stay-at-home mom: there are pros and cons to both. As a teenager who wasn’t happy with her shorter, muscular frame, I was inclined to try all the new fad diets, get stressed and unhappy when they didn’t work, and was extremely self-critical. I discovered my attraction to learning about health, wellness, and how to have a healthy relationship with exercise, which has stayed with me for decades. My motto is “progress not perfection” and I tend to look for humor in every possible situation. I try to not take myself too seriously. That being said, I LOVE empowering people to help themselves, and when I commit to something, I am extremely persistent until that goal is met.

Professional: With over 30 years in healthcare, as a Registered Nurse & Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, I see the growing challenges in our current medical system. With more demands put on our providers and less time spent with patients, preventative education, especially regarding nutrition and lifestyle choices, is rarely addressed. This is where Nurse Health Coaches (like me!) can help fill the gap. Using a holistic approach, I will take the time needed to understand you as an individual in your surrounding World and help you determine a program to manage/improve your current health concerns while preventing future health conditions. I will help you navigate your World of Wellness.

My Philosophy

We are all unique in our Wellness. By identifying all the factors that impact our physical, emotional, and mental health, addressing each one, and striving for balance, we can create a healthier World to live in.

Mindfulness - awareness of who/where we are in the present moment. This affects all aspects of our lives: relationships, eating habits, our thoughts/feelings, focus, stress/anxiety, overall well-being, and more!

Relationships - with ourselves, loved ones, professional acquaintances, our environment

Sleep - understanding the importance of good sleep hygiene and how sleep can affect all aspects of our physical and mental health.

Nutrition - food is information, we need to tell our body good things. We can use food as medicine, either alone or as support to a medical plan of care

Joy- what makes your heart sing also boosts your wellness- think endorphins, our “feel good” hormones!

Involvement- your job, volunteer work, social commitments/community connections

Self Care - how do you take care of yourself? Hobbies, reading, massage, meditation, alone time- prioritizing recharging your own battery.

Movement - a little every day: walking, toning, cardio, yoga, breathwork, martial arts, dance, etc. This is incredibly important, no matter how busy our lives are

Everyone’s wellness journey is unique- my World Of Wellness (WOW) will be different from your WOW. After collecting information through a health history and initial consultation, together we will design your WOW, and then the magic can begin!

You may have items in more than one of your World Wedges, and that’s great! (i.e. dance can be in Joy & Movement like mine;))

Once you fill in your wedges, you may visualize an imbalance, and this is where we can decide on your program.
